Privacy Policy

Lingovibe ("we", "our") operates lingovibe.io, an AI-powered English learning platform. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

Account data (name, email), learning data (lesson progress, test results, vocabulary, mistakes), conversation data (what you write, and what you say once transcribed to text — the audio itself is not kept), technical data (device, browser, approximate location from IP), and payment status from our payment provider. We do not store card numbers — payments are handled by Paddle as merchant of record.

How we use it

To run your lessons and personalise your AI teacher (your level, recurring mistakes, and vocabulary are used to adapt teaching), to score your placement test, to maintain your account and subscription, and to improve the service. What you say is processed to produce transcriptions and is not used to identify you.

AI processing

Your messages, writing samples, and voice recordings are processed by third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) to generate teaching responses, transcriptions, and audio. We send only what is needed for the feature to work. When something goes wrong, error reports — including technical details of your device and browser — are processed by Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, so we can find and fix the fault.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that the service cannot work without: they keep you signed in, protect the sign-in process, and remember your language. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other sites. Your browser also stores your sign-in token and your cookie choice. Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary, there is no consent choice to make — if that ever changes, you will be asked.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account deletes it from LingoVibe's own systems immediately and completely, in a single database transaction: your profile, progress, conversations, transcripts, vocabulary and mistakes are removed — not hidden, and not marked deleted.

Two things that deletion cannot reach. Content already sent to the AI providers to produce your teaching is held under those providers' own retention terms and cannot be recalled by us. And if you have ever paid, an anonymised billing record survives — plan, dates and the payment provider's reference, with no name, no email and nothing that identifies you — which LingoVibe keeps for seven years as its own retention policy for financial records, after which it is purged.
